Bulgaria offers the most options at the lowest prices. Mountain town apartments start around €15K for something habitable. Black Sea coast properties run €30K and up. Sofia suburbs come in around €50K. As an EU member, Bulgaria provides EU property rights and surprisingly low property taxes. The trade-off: infrastructure is developing, English is less common outside cities, and the rental market is less predictable than Western Europe.
